BirdLife South Africa (BLSA) is a partner of BirdLife International, the world’s largest network of conservation organisations. An exciting opportunity exists to join an international work programme of seabird research and conservation as the Leader of the Albatross Task Force (ATF) in South Africa, as part of the global ‘Save the Albatross Campaign’. A conservation biologist with experience in project management, marine conservation and an interest in seabirds is required. Work is based in Cape Town, leading an established team of seabird bycatch mitigation instructors and overseeing the ATF programme. The post-holder will also assist with the following BLSA work areas:  rodent eradication programmes planned for Marion and Gough islands  possible expansion of ATF work
