Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Technical Officer in CERMES, Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados to work primarily in support of the Caribbean Protected Areas Gateway. The Technical Officer will also collaborate closely with the ICUN Regional Office (ORMACC) in Costa Rica that implements BIOPAMA. The position is for the period ending January 15, 2017. The successful applicant should have inter alia: a post-graduate degree (MSc), in natural resource management, or other ecology-related discipline. A certificate or diploma in geographic information systems (GIS) would be desirable; at least 3 years’ experience in biodiversity and/or protected areas information management, ideally
