The Officer, Protecting Ocean Life on the High Seas will assist in leading the implementation of a global campaign to develop a new international legal instrument enabling the establishment of marine protected areas and reserves on the high seas. This will include work in capitols around the world and at U.N. missions in New York. The campaign will work closely with other organizations, including playing a core role in the coalition of 29-plus conservation organizations that comprise the High Seas Alliance (HSA) so as to galvanize international support for the new agreement.   This position is based in London, UK and will work closely with the International Ocean Policy team and report to the Director, Protecting Ocean Life on the High Seas.
