This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced person with a passion for nature to work as a Project Officer to help conserve and promote the red kite across Counties Down and Armagh. This HLF funded 'RKites' project covers the direct monitoring and protection of the birds as well as awareness raising, media and community engagement work across the core project areas in Northern Ireland. The local community are proud of their red kites and want to see the population soar to success. Working closely with the Mourne Heritage Trust and the Northern Ireland Raptor Study Group, the RKites Project combines practical on-the-ground monitoring, awareness raising, partnership working and community engagement to support the re-establishment of this iconic species.
