Butterfly Conservation
The target species for this project include Wood White and Black Hairstreak butterflies, as
well as Dingy Skipper and White-letter Hairstreak, and a range of nationality and regionally
notable moth species including Concolorous, False Mocha and Heart Moth. Our aim is to
incorporate suitable habitat for these species into a network of managed woodlands that
support a host of other wildlife and a range of management objectives.
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the delivery of the Woodland Wings project, coordinating targeted woodland
conservation for threatened butterflies and moths across Salcey Forest, Silverstone
Woods and Yardley Chase, Northamptonshire.
To implement the project plan in agreement with the funder, the Heritage Lottery
Fund, and project partners.
