Purpose of the Position: The Endangered Wildlife Trust is one of the largest biodiversity conservation NGOs in southern Africa has a vacancy for a Project Officer in its Wildlife in Trade Programme. Illegal and/or unsustainable trade in wildlife is one of the most significant global threats to biodiversity. Wildlife trade is escalating in southern Africa, as elsewhere, and the mission of the EWT’s Wildlife in Trade Programme is to reduce trade related threats which impact on the survival of animals and plants. Qualifications, experience and competencies required: A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (political science, social science, international relations, law, economics, commerce or journalism), with an interest or experience in the conservation sector.
