Survey Coordination Manager

We are looking for a well organized, personable individual to manage a small team focused on coordinating, resourcing and scheduling all of the staff and equipment to the projects and surveys within our Ecology team.

This is a hybrid role which ideally requires a person able to work out of our Guildford office in order to manage the team, although this can be flexible dependent on the candidate.

You will be;

  • responsible for allocating staff (permanent and seasonal) to projects in the most efficient and consistent manner possible whilst providing the fastest turn around possible, maximizing staff utilization at all times.
  • collaborating on resource management with other project manager teams.
  • mitigate resource concerns by reallocating resources, adjusting goals, or assigning additional staff.
  • monitoring employee utilization and workload, ensuring that the company meets its utilization targets and projects remain profitable.
  • oversee the management and maintenance of field equipment and storage facilities across all our offices.
  • assisting with hiring staff in accordance with project budgets.

Some of the further responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with Line Managers and Project Managers to resource effectively and aligned with HSQE best practice and whenever possible, in conjunction with an individual’s career progressions.
  • Close partnership with the commercial and technical teams to ensure a stable resource pool that is aligned with our pipeline of work.
  • Effective team management and development of the resourcing team members as well as temporary/casual field surveyors.
  • To work with and support all teams and management on how to improve delivery of our services to clients and strive towards better forward planning of resources (people and equipment).
  • To set, manage and report on the Resourcing team budget.
  • To manage and maintain the company’s equipment and stores as well as onsite libraries and support in managing the company vehicles.

What we are looking for

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has had similar responsibilities to those mentioned above in the Environmental industry however we would consider an experienced commercial astute operations/project manager or an experienced Ecologist that’s looking for a different type of role.
