IMABEE is a two-year research-oriented master programme for talented and motivated students who are interested in understanding biodiversity, ecology and evolution in all their facets. It is a joint project between four European universities (University of Rennes1, France; Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands; University of Göttingen, Germany; University of Aarhus, Denmark).

Students start their first year at a Home University (one of the four partners within the Consortium). In the second year, students choose a second partner university (i.e. Host University) within the consortium. On completion of the programme, students are awarded a double degree from the two partner universities.

4 Universities
IMABEE offers students the opportunity to compose an individual study programme in biodiversity, ecology and evolution by combining elements from complementary programmes at the partner universities.

Double Degrees
Students who successfully complete the IMABEE programme receive degrees from two of the European partner universities. IMABEE is working on the future award of a joint degree.
