The National Park Service’s (NPS) Northern Great Plains Inventory and Monitoring Network (NGPN) is looking for an enthusiastic aquatic ecologist (GS-11) to lead their long-term water monitoring program. The NPS Inventory and Monitoring Division collects long-term data on ecosystem components critical to the management of national parks in a changing environment. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of aquatic ecology and hydrology (or closely related aquatic field) to the streams, river, and riparian corridors across the northern Great Plains. The aquatic ecologist will lead and coordinate monitoring efforts using established protocols that collect data on fluvial geomorphology, surface water quantity and quality, and macroinvertebrates.
