The duration of the internship is from May to November 2022. Interns are provided with housing and a monthly stipend.

Internship responsibilities include:

  • Feeding, maintenance, and care of the captive waterfowl collection
  • Cleaning enclosures and ponds
  • Aviary maintenance including grounds and structures
  • Assistance with bird capture
  • Exposure to falconry
  • Record keeping- medical and breeding (ZIMS)
  • Interacting with RWC visitors and donors during public visitation, guided tours and special events
  • Assisting our Educators at school,  community events, distance learning and onsite programs including the four week summer camp
