Avon Wildlife Trust is looking for a new Director of Conservation and Delivery Programmes to lead our work to protect and restore wildlife in the West of England. This is a key role for the Trust with significant scope to shape our approach to conservation, land management and community engagement. Our area includes a wealth of ecological landscapes and habitats. The Cotswolds, Mendips and Severn Estuary all meet in Avon, with important areas of calcareous grassland, ancient woodland and 3% of England’s remaining wetlands in the North Somerset Levels and Moors. Wildlife-rich mixed farmland surrounds the green cities of Bath and Bristol, where the iconic Avon Gorge is home to nationally rare and endemic species.
