JOB TITLE: Conservation Education Internship
REPORTS TO: Conservation Education Manager
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Compensation school credit; reaches 288 total hours
JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Conservation Education Department in promoting awareness of conservation issues through engaging, educational, and entertaining zoo experiences.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESULTS:
Assist in school programming and live animal presentations
Performing educational outreach animal encounters both on and off campus
Assisting with signage and interactive displays along with program development and research
Assist in teaching and leading on campus free programming for public school students (spring only)
Assist with teaching and leading summer camp classes (summer only)
