Teaching Kids about the Environment (K.A.T.E.): Located on Lake Marion in the Midlands, KATE explores how natural environments function, and particularly, how human beings can manage behavior and ecosystems to live sustainably. Students will conduct scientific studies of the interrelated patterns, processes, flora, fauna and ecosystems in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
