Teaching Kids about the Environment (K.A.T.E.): Located on Lake Marion in the Midlands, KATE explores how natural environments function, and particularly, how human beings can manage behavior and ecosystems to live sustainably. Students will conduct scientific studies of the interrelated patterns, processes, flora, fauna and ecosystems in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Activities include aquatic ecology, forestry studies, soil science, wildlife ecology, team building, a climbing tower, high ropes courses, archery, canoeing, birding and more. Camp Hannon: Sunset, SC Exploration Hannon: Located in the upstate Blue Ridge Mountains. A mountain geology and ecology field study program designed around the processes and skills of scientific inquiry. Students will discover sci
