Calderdale Council is leading an exciting programme of work aiming to improve biodiversity and green infrastructure along the River Calder and its tributaries. Calder Greening is a 3 year programme delivering a series of environmental projects that benefit wildlife and local communities in partnership with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the Environment Agency. The Calder Greening programme sits within the Business & Skills service of the Regeneration & Strategy directorate. Part funded by the European Union’s European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF), the £1.3m programme began in January 2019.
