Overview

Are you passionate about regenerative tourism and excellent guest experience? Would you like a secluded fishing village in the Caribbean with stunning views of ocean and rainforest to be your office!?

Castara Retreats is a collection of boutique eco-lodges, with a thriving restaurant and wellness studio. We’re looking for a General Manager to work alongside our incredible team in Tobago to oversee our operations and drive and deliver our regenerative tourism strategies.

A partnership between a Welshman and a Tobagonian born out of friendship nearly twenty-five years ago, Castara Retreats is a two-family business that’s been providing luxury-rustic stays for guests across the world for nearly twenty-five years.

We’re looking for a General Manager who really understands and connects with our values and sustainability outlook: we aspire to be a regional role model for the regenerative tourism accommodation sector – resilient, prosperous, and inclusive, thus inspiring a community which shares the opportunities of tourism to benefit local culture, our environment, and economy.

You will oversee all operations, inspiring our team to work to their strengths and inspiring guests to experience how their visit can positively impact the people and place of Castara.

If this sounds exciting to you – please check out the job description and apply on our website.

About Castara Retreats

We have strived to create a worthwhile exemplar for sustainable tourism in the Caribbean, and are committed to evolving as an eco-resort that takes a responsible approach to the development of our enterprise, to the surrounding environment and to the local culture.

Our aim is to offer visitors the opportunity of an authentic Caribbean holiday in a uniquely local style; where guests can positively engage with the natural environment and local community – adding value and contributing to the economic wellbeing of the village. In return, visitors have an insight into the life of a Caribbean fishing village, lapped by the waves of one of the most beautiful beaches on Tobago.
