About the Role Heal the Bay serves as the Los Angeles County Coordinator for California Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD), which is part of the international cleanup effort organized by the Ocean Conservancy. Heal the Bay hosts between 50-70 individual cleanup sites across the region. Each site is a unique expression of the surrounding community. This year, Coastal Cleanup Day takes place on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Coastal Cleanup Day Coordinator works closely with the Outreach, Communications, Advancement, and Aquarium teams to coordinate the event.
