Purpose of role: To educate local primary school children about farming, food production and conservation through visits to Pierrepont Farm. Encourage visits to schools to help delivery of the curriculum with reference to the aims and objectives of the Countryside Restoration Trust (CRT). Key aspects of the role: • Daily liaison with the Tenant Farmer & Volunteers to ensure support and involvement, as and when required. • Initiate new contacts and meetings with local schools to promote onsite educational facilities. • Devise a new programme and format for school and group visits which will require some weekend and school holiday work.
