Are you passionate about playing a role in the protection of the world's threatened species?   DOC is the central government agency that conserves and manages New Zealand's natural, historic and cultural heritage, and has the vison of making New Zealand the ‘greatest living space on earth'.   We have a full time temporary vacancy for a (CITES) Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Officer, based in Auckland.  As a CITES Officer, your work will involve: Responding to public queries Issuing CITES permits for the international movement of specimens Inspection  of specimens and consignment lists at New Zealand's borders to ascertain whether they can be imported into the country, or exported out of it Liaison with Ministry of Primary Industry
