FRW is a charitable organization that works with volunteers to protect, monitor, and restore ecosystem, watershed, and community health in the Rouge River Watershed. FRW staff educate and coordinate school and community groups (in person and virtually) to increase environmental knowledge, skills and protection; plant and care for native trees, flowering shrubs, and wildflowers; conduct interpretive nature walks on ecosystem and watershed health; remove invasive species; monitor water quality; and provide other environmental education and stewardship activities.
