The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Officer to join our team to help us celebrate our 60th Birthday, open our new Discovery Centre at Rye Harbour and launch our new three year Strategy. This role will work across teams to create, develop and deliver a programme of events for our partners, members and the public with a balance of free events and income generation. This role will also work with existing staff to ensure that a cohesive and professional events approach is in place for the Trust for the future.

Location: Woods Mill with travel across Sussex
Salary: £27028.35 (Pro rata £16217.01)
Contract Type: Part time, Fixed term until 31 January 2022
Hours: 21 per week

The Person

As an experienced events manager you will have a proven track record delivering a range of events to diverse audiences. You will have a passion for customer service, be highly organised and be comfortable with engaging with a range of stakeholders including VIPs. You will be imaginative, resourceful and diplomatic.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital in this role, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be comfortable working varied hours when required, including occasional weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
