To be a Falconry Instructor at Ireland's School of Falconry requires a rare combination of several skills. The Falconry School operates to a very high standard in all aspects of its work and, because of this, we are always interested to hear from anyone who feels they may be the right person to work with us. Falconry experience is not necessarily required for the right person, but excellent communication skills, the ability to work hard, a smart appearance and enormous enthusiasm for birds of prey and the countryside are essential qualities. From time to time, a full-time permanent Falconry Instructor position becomes available, but April to November is our busiest time of the year and we usually need to take on one additional falconer each year for this period alone.
