Overview

Salary – £25,000-£27,500 depending on skills and experience.

Due to an increase in demand for our services, we require two full-time ecologists for ongoing projects throughout Scotland.

Applicants will ideally be birders first and foremost and have an interest or knowledge of all aspects of ecology.  It would be an advantage to have carried out bird surveys such as Vantage Points, Breeding Bird Survey and Raptor Surveys.  It is however far more important to display a sound knowledge of birds both by sight and call as training in survey methods will be given.

A knowledge of other aspects of ecology such as Phase 1, NVC and mammals would be welcomed and an advantage.

You will be physically fit, have a full UK license, preferably own a car, and be willing to work ‘ecological hours’. Flexibility, enthusiasm and initiative are essential qualities we need the applicants to have.

The successful candidates must also be computer literate and numerate.

Closing date Thursday 29th February 2024

Immediate start available for suitable candidates. Please note these posts will be based in Scotland and are field positions with limited office time. These are permanent roles.
