Summary of Position: The Conservation Assistant will help further ICL’s conservation campaigns, primarily supporting efforts to improve and protect air and water quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote sustainable communities in Idaho. Initially, this position will primarily engage with government agency permitting and regulatory processes; ideally, over time, it will grow to more actively address legacy mining contamination, actively promote energy efficiency, and more. The Conservation Assistant will engage in local, regional and statewide environmental issues through professional advocacy and by empowering ICL’s members, volunteers and the public to become involved in bringing about positive local and statewide environmental change.
