Overview

This exciting role will lead the design and delivery for environmental engagement courses. The scope is hundreds of online and place-based training courses for adults and young people across the UK.  

Salary: £30,012 – £35,790 per annum.
Location: Base Negotiable
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Success will achieve accessible learning outcomes by developing/upscaling structured learning pathways for a range of subjects, especially biodiversity, natural history and environmental art. This includes providing support for learners and links to partners organisations and FSC Publications. Our learners will earn recognition and accreditation and take on personal, volunteer, and professional roles that benefit themselves and the natural environment. 

The post holder will manage a new team of engagement officers and course co-ordinators at the national charity, the Field Studies Council; a leader provider of environment education. 

The post holder will develop and maintain training standards and tutor networks for commercial and grant funded courses. They will contribute to the design of marketing plans and fundraising bids to attract/retain learners and partners.

The successful candidate will have excellent evidence of success with producing and evaluating a regional or national portfolio of engagement and training courses. This include managing teams and achieving targets for customer engagement.

The successful candidate will also have excellent knowledge of environment training market and related pedagogy and volunteer/professional roles for different target audiences.
