Overview

The Kafue River Trust supports wildlife conservation and environmental projects in the Kafue River basin of southern Zambia, Africa. We now wish to recruit an experienced Fundraiser to support a significant expansion in our work in response to a government request to help reverse a rapid decline in the number of endangered Kafue lechwe. The Kafue lechwe is a floodplain antelope found only on the Kafue Flats. Its presence underpins the viability of two small national parks and is key to a spectacular birdlife and rich fishery. Funds are needed to support wildlife research, anti-poaching operations, invasive species control and tourism development to help improve the management of Lochinvar National Park and adjacent Game Management Area.

The successful candidate will either work on commission or join the Board of Trustees as a volunteer. He/she will work closely with trustees to develop and deliver a business plan.
