The Guy Harvey Scholarship Award, established in 2010 through a partnership between Florida Sea Grant and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, recognizes students at Florida universities whose research focuses on the biology, ecology, habitat or management of sustainable marine fisheries in Florida, including the protection of their critical habitats.
Up to eight scholarships will be given this year to outstanding Florida students. The scholars will receive a certificate designed and signed by Guy Harvey, and $5,000 to support their academic program. Since its founding, 65 students have received approximately $300,000 in scholarships.
