This individual placement is meant to facilitate personal growth and professional development and promotes exposure to land management agencies and networking with agency professionals. This could include gaining experience in a variety of conservation fields and/or shadowing different work groups. The member will provide support and assistance under the guidance and direction of TPWD staff in the accomplishment of:
  • Effective management with cultural (training park staff and volunteers), chemical (use of approved herbicides), and mechanical methods (trapping and manual removal of plants and animals using various types of traps, saws, trimmers, clippers and hand pulling).
