The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has a job vacancy for a Natural Resource Technician 2 position, within the Wildlife Bureau. The job location will be at one of the following locations: Rockwell City, Jefferson, or Fort Dodge, IA. Job duties include: Make contact with private landowners through personal contacts, referrals from NRCS technical staff, and informational meetings. From these contacts, develop long term plans to improve wildlife habitat and wildlife populations on their properties. Practices implemented also improve water quality and reduce soil erosion. Provide information regarding Federal, State, and local programs that are available for funding assistance. Work with USDA from FSA and NRCS to deliver cost-shared conservation practices on private lands.
