The Land Steward will undertake a wide variety of tasks related to the administration, management, and stewardship of both FLLT nature preserves and conservation easements. FLLT is currently responsible for the ongoing stewardship of 48 nature preserves totaling 6,138 acres, and more than 160 conservation easements and deed restricted properties totaling 14,780 acres that are primarily in private ownership, located across the 12-county Finger Lakes region of New York. It is anticipated that the Land Steward will spend the majority of their time on nature preserve stewardship activities, and a lesser amount of time on conservation easement stewardship and general administrative functions.
