What it's like to work here The Northumberland Coast countryside includes mainly dune and grassland habitats with areas of coastal heath, pool, scrape, riparian areas, reedbed, fen, saltmarsh, woodland and upland heath. Key groups of species include farmland birds; raptors; dune and grassland orchids; waxcap fungi; freshwater fish; breeding & wintering shorebirds and waders, otters and breeding seabirds. Beside the coast ranger team, the wider team includes the retail teams at Seahouses and Lindisfarne, our visitor experience & membership team and our castle team. The
