Job Description: What you will do: Assist in collecting information used to estimate spawner abundance and catch in recreational fisheries in Oregon’s coastal river basins. Work independently and outdoors in exposed locations. Requires walking up and down boat ramps, along rocky or sandy bank areas, in moving water with uneven and slick terrain, and accessing survey locations across uneven and slick ground.  Work may occur in inclement weather. Driving between sampling sites is required; a state vehicle will be provided. Employees will observe, identify, handle and/or sample a variety of fish species; accurately record and summarize field data from angler interviews and biological sampling of catch and of fish collected on spawning grounds. Lifting of fish and equipment up to 50 pounds
