The primary responsibilities of this position are planning, coordinating, directing and implementing a variety of District and government policies and procedures for the care and wellbeing of all animals under our care; overseeing the operations and staffing of the animal hospital; scheduling and coordinating the logistics for care including diet, health maintenance, enrichment, and enclosure maintenance of all animals in care; communication and supervision of subordinate staff and volunteers; trains, leads and directs the work related to District programs, events and activities surrounding the use and well-being of all animals under the Districts care; provides routine and moderately complex administrative support; assumes responsibility for site and/or program activities in the absence o
