The iwi landscape in the Manawatū is complex with 8 iwi groups at various stages of settlement (with overlapping rights and interests) and multiple hapū. Iwi are key players in conservation so DOC needs a person with excellent knowledge of the Treaty landscape to effectively undertake our obligations.
