Position Overview: The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. This position will help FWS realize its mission at Browns Park NWR. Duties include working on all aspects of the Refuge invasive plant control program. This includes applying herbicide (ATV, backpack, and hand sprayers) to target areas throughout the Refuge, and mechanical methods (pulling, digging, and cutting) to control invasive herbaceous and woody plant species.
