POSITION SUMMARY

This professional-level position is responsible for overseeing and implementing Defenders’ strategic plan objectives and strategies to promote restoration of wolves to the Rocky Mountains of western Colorado. The goal of this program is to pave the way for wolf restoration in Colorado by strengthening the already-strong base of support for wolves in Colorado (around 70% in many polls) and mobilizing these supporters to promote restoration. Conservation priorities include:

1) protecting and expanding habitats for wolves on public, tribal and private lands; 2) protecting populations of wolves from human-caused threats; 3) improving conservation and management of public lands in these re
