Job Purpose

Manage and develop the relation between nature reserves and local communities and to implement awareness & educational programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the setting of goals and metrics to ensure effective implementation of programs and forums.
  2. Oversee the assessment and execution of quality programs, ensuring compliance with community engagement objectives
  3. Ensure the diagnosis of community engagement needs and requirements and provides solutions around them.
  4. Mange and Plan the initiatives and activities for the involvement of local communities in socially responsible programs.
  5. Ensure the design and execution of programs, initiatives, and forums for engaging the local community in AlUla.
  6. Manage and develop community engagement programs such as; awareness & educational programs

Managerial Responsibilities

  1. Provide input to the sector’s strategy from the Department’s or Section’s perspective in line with RCU overall vision and mission.
  2. Develop the Department’s or Section’s objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets
  3. Contribute to the preparation of the Department’s or Section’s annual budget and monitor the financial performance of the Department or Section.
  4. Implement and execute the Department’s or Section’s policies and procedures. Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
  5. Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Executive or (Executive) Director.

 

Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.  (Masters Degree preferred)

Work Experience

  • 6 years of relevant experience with 2 years in a managerial role.

Other Requirements

  • Written and Oral proficiency of English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with standards, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism, presentation, personal integrity, and customer support.
  • Experienced in volunteer and team management.
  • Experience in Program Design, Program Management, Engagement Program, NGOs Development.
