We are looking for a highly motivated person, with practical conservation land management experience to deliver on site habitat management in the heart of the Mersey Valley. The role is an integral part of an exciting project with the Woolston Eyes Conservation Group, carrying out day to day habitat management on one of the best sites in the country for black-necked grebes and willow tits. The main site is a former settling bed for Manchester Shipping Canal dredging's, that has been designated SSSI and is a true Oasis for wildlife. The "Eyes" are a complex of settling beds, each with their own characteristics and suite of species, one of which has exciting habitat creation plans to develop a dynamic wetland site.
