The Conservation and Stewardship Intern will work with Conservancy staff to provide research and management support for over 8,000 acres of Conservancy’s preserves and conservation easements in Western Massachusetts. This internship will provide a broad range of conservation work and will require regularly working independently in the field and office.  Primary responsibilities for this internship will be split between a turtle monitoring project and assisting with general preserve stewardship activities. The turtle monitoring project will by supervised by the Stewardship Manager and will include using radio-telemetry to track locations of 20 turtles per week in wetlands, record locations via GPS , take detailed notes, and work with data in large Excel database.
