Who are we?

Haycock and Jay Associates Ltd is a unique ecology practice based in Otley, West Yorkshire. Our diverse group of professional ecologists undertake a varied portfolio of work including significant botanical projects in Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale AONB, protected species work in a variety of ancient houses and country parks and herbivore impact assessment and condition assessment from Cape Wrath to Galloway.

Senior Ecologist

We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Senior Ecologist to join our team. You will work alongside eight further ecologists and botanists. This is a great opportunity for the right person to excel and become a valued and integral team member whilst developing their career.

Person specification:

  • Experience managing projects and survey teams;
  • EPS Survey Licence/s (preferably Level 2 Bat Class Licence, however other specialisms will be considered);
  • Experience with/named ecologist on EPS Mitigation licence/s, or similar mitigation strategy documents;
  • Full Member of CIEEM (or eligible); and,
  • Full UK driving licence.

Ecologist

We are currently seeking an Ecologist to join our team of eight ecologists and botanists. This is a great opportunity for the right person to develop a specialism and excel a valued and integral team member whilst developing their career.

Person specification:

  • Experience managing small to medium projects and surveys;
  • EPS Survey Licence/s, or similar specialism;
  • Member of CIEEM (or eligible); and,
  • Full UK driving licence.
