Overview

Full time temporary position. Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm

Leaders must develop and execute 8 weeks of daily programming

Summer program leaders will be in charge of one group of participants for one week sessions. Participants in the summer program range in grade from Pre – K through freshman in high school. The program leader will be assigned a particular grade level for most of the weeks. Leader is responsible for daily program that includes; tours of the zoo, arts and crafts, recreation and animal lessons.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have teaching/educating experience
• Knowledge of biology, ecology and/or zoology preferred
• Animal handling experience not required but a plus

Summer camp runs for 7 weeks. June 29th-August 21st.

Job requires prep hours before the summer session. For every week of camp, there is a full day (8am-4pm) of prep.

Salary

$525 per week for grades Pre-K through 3rd, and $535 for 4th-6th
