PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Live Animal Care Center (LACC) staff is responsible for the care of a diverse collection of animals that are utilized for educational activities such as exhibits, on-site live presentations and off-site programming. Our collection is comprised of over 200 animals representing 80 different species.  The LACC is comprised of 3 full-time zookeepers, 2 part-time zookeepers, an assistant Live Animal Curator, a Live Animal Curator and a Manager of Living Collections. The department is staffed 7 days a week and operates 365 days a year.   POSITION SUMMARY: Interns will learn the daily husbandry routines of both program and exhibit animals.
