Three Rivers District is an attractive mixture of town and countryside, situated in South West Hertfordshire, where the protection and enhancement of trees, woodlands and the landscape have a high priority.  The Council own a number of trees in its parks and open spaces, and a woodland estate of around 240 Ha. The Tree and Landscape Unit are responsible for drawing up Management Plans for all its key sites, many of which include areas of trees and woodlands. We have achieved UK Woodland Assurance Standard accreditation since 2007 and currently have three key parks and open spaces which fly Green Flag.
