Tin Mountain Conservation Center is a non-profit organization providing environmental programs that foster greater awareness and understanding of the natural environment for school children, adults, and families. The Resident Bird Project is a 12-month position. The spring & summer the intern will work closely with the avian ecology intern on two main areas of research: monitoring breeding birds and forest habitat changes associated with forest management. The long-term breeding bird survey was initiated in 2007 to inventory all species using the 140-acre sanctuary during April-July while also training young professionals in habitat protection.
