This position is located in a very remote and rugged portion of the Chihuahuan Desert with extreme heat in the summer. Amenities are limited and cell signal is not always reliable.  It is highly recommended that applicants review, research, and visit the area before applying. The Big Bend region is also a gorgeous part of Texas with some of the best outdoor recreational opportunities and most interesting interpretive opportunities in the entire state featuring very mild to warm winters. Under the direction of the Site Superintendent, this position performs routine (journey-level) operations work in a state park and is responsible for developing and implementing interpretive programs for the Big Bend Ranc
