Description One field assistant is needed for a PhD project studying the Interior Population of trumpeter swans in the Midwest. Fieldwork will consist of the capture and banding of trumpeter swans on their breeding grounds throughout Minnesota. Swans will be fitted with GPS/GSM transmitters to study habitat use and annual movements. Working periods may occasionally be up to 10 days at a time but will typically follow a 7-on/3-off schedule. Housing will be provided throughout the field season although a personal car will provide more flexibility during time off. Pay will be $2300-2500/month, depending on experience and qualifications.
