POSTION IS STATIONED IN CLARNO, OREGON AT PINE CREEK CONSERVATION AREA.  This position works under the Conservation Area Project Leader on the 34,000 acre property.  Much of the work involves protection and enhancement of wildlife habitat including, fence repair, patrol in a vehicle, UTV, or on foot, herbicide spraying, mowing, juniper removal, equipment maintenance, seeding, data collection, sign maintenance, and other duties as assigned.  Must be able and comfortable working alone in an extremely remote desert wilderness, often without cellular service.

Requirements

Must be physically able to withstand long periods of work in temperatures in excess of 100 degree and be to hike for miles in steep terrain, and perform strenuous duties including occasional lift
