Under the supervision of the off-site Attending Veterinarian and the Wildlife Biologists, the Wildlife Veterinary Technician performs tasks requiring specialized skills in connection with the care and maintenance of the moose calves at the Ahtna Intertribal Resource Commission (AITRC) Orphaned Moose Calf Rehabilitation facility. Work hours are irregular and are based on the needs of the moose calves. Your time can include night shifts and/or several long days, and hours worked will depend on patient care. Work is outside in the weather and often repetitive, be sure that you are fit and able for this type of work.
