Southwest Conservation Corps is running a fire mitigation crew this fall. Crew members will go through S-212 chainsaw training to work on fuels reduction and mitigation projects to help protect communities from the threat of forest fires. Crew members will also work towards completing coursing in basic wildlands fire behaviors, S-130 and S-190, necessary certifications to receive their red card for future fire deployment. This is great crew for those interested in learning more or those who want to pursue careers in wildland fire fighting!
