The Wildlife Programme within WWF South Africa is developing a new area of work analysing and influencing wildlife conservation policies from an economic and social perspective. We seek to employ a suitably qualified and experienced person with excellent numerical and analytical skills to lead this programme of work. The Wildlife Economics and Policy Analyst will have a very strong mathematical background and be responsible for scoping problems, identifying and managing data sources, undertaking analyses in relation to key national and international policies, legislation and regulations relating to wildlife conservation including legal and illegal wildlife trade and alternative livelihoods in the region.
