The Wychwood Project is an environmental conservation charity that inspires people to value and restore landscapes and habitats across an area of 120 square miles and 41 parishes of west Oxfordshire, known since the 12th century as the Wychwood Forest. Formed in 1997, we have a vision of a thriving natural landscape, rich in wildlife and habitats, enjoyed by and benefitting all. We aim to achieve this through both traditional and creative land management approaches on our own suite of nature reserves, and by working in collaboration with the Wychwood’s local communities, land owners, businesses and schools.
